WE NEED YOUR INVOLVEMENT

Volunteering is the heart of the Kauai Republican Party. As a grass roots political party the KRP can only exist if the citizens of Kauai volunteer their time and energy to participate in the process of self governance.

Our goal as a party is to encourage as much involvement as possible and we have multiple venues all across the island for that involvement. Our members can serve as officers in the KRP directly effecting the direction of our local and state party or can take on secondary roles supporting the KRP’s efforts.

From encouraging candidates to run, to helping support our local and state candidates during election season, to helping with election integrity, or helping with community outreach, the KRP has many ways to volunteer. As a volunteer you will have the benefit of working and networking with a large group of wonderfully dedicated people and at the same time be helping effect positive political changes in your County, State, and Country.

The Team has discovered significant issues with our local voting process in regards to ballot envelope chain of custody, signature verification, and with the audit procedures and we have fought very hard to hold our local Elections Division and our State Office of Elections accountable. These efforts have included lawsuits, formal complaints and testimony, along with direct engagement with County officials and are on going.

One of the current goals of the Team is to work with our local County Council to support the needed safe guards to our elections. There has been much success in this regard and we are optimistic this will continue. Ultimately, the KRP Election Integrity Team would like to see the state go to one day in person voting with votes hand counted at the precinct level. However, until our mail in voting law can be changed we are absolutely determined to make our local voting process as transparent and as accountable as possible.

Protecting our Kauai Citizen’s right to vote is extremely important to the Kauai Republican Party.

After the 2020 presidential election the KRP put together a great team of dedicated people to fully monitor and observe our 2022 Primary and General elections.

As a result the KRP Election Integrity Team is one of the most knowledgeable groups in the state of Hawaii on our voting process and has networked with the HRP County Chairs across all the other islands.
